Netflix is casting for the third season of Single’s Inferno.

An Instagram post by Netflix Korea mentioned that the streaming service is looking for “hot singles” to join the upcoming season.

In case you’re interested, here’s what the Google form asks for:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Contact details
  • Current residence
  • Relationship status
  • Email address
  • Social media handle(s)
  • Occupation
  • Broadcast appearance experience, including online
  • Purpose (for what though, we’re not sure ourselves)
  • Pictures, both headshots and full body shots. Preferably, pictures without a mask.

Obviously, I won’t make the cut… Because the basic prerequisite is to be hot and the only thing hot about me is my temperature during the flu season. :’)

But we attempt to take a stab at guessing what kind of contestants we can expect in the new season.

Online personalities/influencers

What better way to get viewership than to cast contestants with a sizeable following?

The belle of the first season was social media influencer Song Ji-a.

Ji-a has over 4.2 million followers on Instagram and 2.1 million YouTube subscribers.

And then there was the head-turner for season two Kim Jin-young, a former Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT) soldier.

After leaving the army, he started a YouTube channel that now has more than 429,000 subscribers.

His video titles are hilarious. Screenshot from YouTube.

TV personalities

We’re not talking about big actors like Cha Eun-woo or Han So-hee.

We’re talking about the “hey, I think I’ve seen you somewhere…” type of TV personalities.

For example, Season 2’s Lee So-e is a university student who majors in acting.

And she has played bit roles in several K-dramas including Netflix series Hellbound and The Glory.

Jin-young is also set to appear in an upcoming Netflix series called Zombieverse.

And fellow Season 2 cast member Lee Min-su also had a small role in Netflix series The Fabulous.

Friends of past contestants

A little birdie (a.k.a. a now-deleted Reddit post) let slip that the third season will possibly feature a non-Korean citizen.

The OP of the post — a gay white man — claims that a “friend from college” (possibly Nadine Lee, who hails from Boston in the U.S.) referred him to a producer of a South Korean reality dating show.

In the submission that was posted to the r/korea thread, he asked if being a foreigner on a South Korean reality show would be “a trap”, especially given his race and sexual orientation.

He also said that he hopes the South Korean audience will be as receptive to him, as they were with his friend (again, possibly Nadine, because she was well-liked).

Another person who was possibly the result of a referral is Season 2’s Kim Se-jun.

He was another fan favourite, gaining fans due to his quips and laidback personality.

But the garment cutter also happens to work at Ascottage, the tailor suit brand of Season 1 member Oh Jin-taek.

Really, really impressive people

And we mean people our Asian parents would approve of.

Like Nadine, a pre-medical student from Harvard University who is majoring in neuroscience.

Or the likes of a plastic surgeon (read: doctor!!!), like Lee Dong-woo:
